Calm Before The Storm

I made it to the gym for a second round this afternoon. I started out stretching in the dry sauna again to get my muscles loose. I had hoped to make it 2 miles but my legs decided that 1 mile would suffice. I think the second trip to the gym proved to be worth it. I can walk again, whoop whoop. Just in time because even though we might be half crazy we are going on round two of Body Pump. Wish us luck!

Miracle

Miracle on day 3; we made it to the gym. The body pump class that we took yesterday might have been a little harder than we thought because getting to the gym this morning proved to be a bigger challenge than expected. We decided to keep it light with a start in the sauna to warm up our muscles, some light stretching and then on to a mile walk. FS2 wins the award for self control today because she went for an apple instead of the much desired Jack in the Box that she passed three times on her way to work. Three cheers to day three!! Although my body is telling me no I am going to try to pull it together for a 2-mile run this afternoon. Wish me luck and keep on keeping on :)

Numero Dos

FS2 completely disagrees with FS1's estimation of the aforementioned class.  I would like to say that it was a great class, perfectly geared towards MEEEEE!  I loved the energy and the level of exercise.  I may have started too high on the triceps (weights-wise) but it was great.  I had some homework to do this fine evening so it was a mental/physical workout for me (i.e. I road the comfy bike and read as I did last night).  This was cool with me except I unfortunately was unable to attend the BodyFlow class.  That sounded fantastic with all the soreness and tightness I feel in my poor little body post-BodyPump this morning.  That was an awesome start to a day and BodyFlow would have been a great way to wrap it up.

I do have to admit that I broke down this morning on my way into work.  The siren-like call of Jack in the Box drew me in.  I was too weak to resist, but resistance is what we're working towards, right?  I guess you have to have a weak starting point to be MOST IMPROVED!!!

I will leave you with this:  "OM NOM NOM PROTEIN SHAKE!"

Beautiful Morning

Our body pump instructor, Nancy, can officially be categorized as a BAMF. If I thought that I was a wimp when it came to weights before today I was extremely underestimating how lame I am. Nancy even made Fox Sierra 2 look like a weakling. Tonight we will be trying out Body Flow which is a mix between Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga. This is going to be our idea of going "easy" on our muscles. In the mean time we will have to find a new way of getting to home and work due to Jack in the Box and the appeal that it has against Fox Sierra 2's better judgement. Two thumbs up to rockin' it on day numero dos, whoop!

Day Uno

Today will be noted as the first day in an epic journey to not be a fat sister any longer. It started out with a nice helping of whoop-ass from Junior, a trainer over at Axiom Gym. It felt so good that we couldn't just have one helping so we went back for more after what Fox Sierra 2 would call a little portion of a big fatty meal.

Every step is going to be a hurdle in its own and we're excited to meet them as they come and either jump over them or kick 'em over and keep going.

The first step will be getting Fox Sierra 1 to drag her lazy bum out of bed for our first organized fitness class tomorrow morning at Axiom.  This will be a feat as Fox Sierra 2 believes that Fox Sierra 1 is somehow morally against any conscious existence in the early morning hours no matter the circumstances.  Fox Sierra 1 swears that this will not be an issue for the "Don't Want to be a Fat Sister" program, but Fox Sierra 2 will withhold judgment until post-workout tomorrow morning at 0530-0645.  :).
